Qualification studied during apprenticeship:  Lv2 Joinery

Day release requirements: Yes 

Functional Skills: Undertaking additional level 2 maths, English & ICT classes may be required if candidate does not hold A-C

Additional Requirements: Must have been an EU resident for the past 3 years.  Must not already hold a degree or Level 4 qualification.

 

Employer Job Description:

JD Doors are looking for 2 Bench Joiner Apprentice’s to join their team. The candidates need to be hard-working and willing to learn. You will be working Monday – Thursday 7-4, but you will attend college on a Thursday. On a Friday you will work 7-1. – repair and maintain doors, door frames, windows etc. -undertake all joinery work as necessary.

  • To undertake, as and when required, joinery work associated with major and minor new construction work.
  • To repair and maintain doors, door frames, windows etc.
  • To undertake all joinery work as necessary in the maintenance of flooring, roofing, skirting and ceilings
  • To provide a service to clients and maintain a good customer relationship as a priority.
  • To report customers comments for improvement to the department’s performance.
