Additional Requirements: Must have been an EU resident for the past 3 years.  Must not already hold a degree or Level 4 qualification.

 

Employer Job Description:

The Pit Smokehouse is currently recruiting for a talented and creative Chef Assistant / Kitchen Assistant / Cook to join their highly successful restaurant in the heart of Culcheth, Warrington. We want to hear from creative individuals with previous experience working as a Chef Assistant, Kitchen Assistant or Assistant Cook. The successful Cook/Kitchen Assistant must be passionate about food and have previous experience in a similar high quality hospitality establishment.

 

The Pit Smokehouse is an authentic southern BBQ restaurant in the heart of Culcheth, Warrington. Creating an experience like no other, we believe in high quality hospitality, bravely introducing new ideas and building a fun & friendly working environment. We’re looking for very special people, enthusiastic outgoing individuals with outstanding communication skills and the ability to make people feel comfortable. This is an ever changing role and as such the successful candidate will develop a wide range of skills.

 

We’re looking for someone who wants to grow their career and skills as Chef Assistant. We are never slow. Responsibilities include:

 

  • All aspects of line cooking and executing our menu to a constant high standard
  • Working with the best ingredients both local and from afar
  • Working very closely with other cooks / chefs
  • Always meeting customers’ expectations and making the best food you/we possibly can!

 

The successful Chef / Kitchen Assistant must have reliable transportation late at night and be willing to travel for work. Work week is 5 days at 8-10 hours per day. Come be a part of the team that makes the MEAT magic happen!
