Day release requirements: Yes 

Functional Skills: Undertaking additional level 2 maths, English & ICT classes may be required if candidate does not hold A-C

Additional Requirements: Must have been an EU resident for the past 3 years.  Must not already hold a degree or Level 4 qualification.

 

Employer Job Description:

Cygnet Group are looking for a hard-working, well motivated candidate to join their team as an Apprentice Logistics Co-ordinator. The role will involve: • Prepare project shipments for despatch to customers or external packers • To complete export documentation correctly

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Providing Freight Quotations for all internal departments in a timely manner when requested
  • Despatch spares orders
  • Prepare project shipments for despatch to customers or external packers
  • To complete export documentation correctly
  • Establish relationships with freight forwarders/hauliers
  • Maintain master data on Sage ensuring correct commodity codes are allocated for all items shipped.
  • Ensure that the company standards of customer service are met at all times when dealing with internal and external customers
  • To work efficiently and effectively as part of a team
  • To gain knowledge of Dangerous Goods Regulations
  • To maintain high levels of Health and Safety standards
  • To achieve the targets and job standards set out by the Logistics Manager
