Qualification studied during apprenticeship:  Lv2 Childcare 

Duration of apprenticeship: 18 months 

Day release requirements: No 

Functional Skills: Undertaking additional level 2 maths, English & ICT classes may be required if candidate does not hold A-C

Additional Requirements: Must have been an EU resident for the past 3 years.  Must not already hold a degree or Level 4 qualification.

 

Employer Job Description:

  • We are looking for a confident nursery assistant to join our ever growing team. Applicants must be confident, outgoing and must be able to show initiative as we are a small but busy setting.
  • To begin with the job may involve covering in all of the rooms with ages ranging from babies to pre-school age children.
  • Successful applicants will become part of our team and will have their own key group of children to observe, assess and plan for using the Early Years Foundation Stage. Therefore, some knowledge of the EYFS is required.
  • The job role will include, being part of a close knit team, working together, observing and planning for key children and completing their learning journeys.
  • We will provide full training in the ways that we do this and will expect the successful applicant to shadow another member of staff before taking on their own key group.
