Qualification studied during apprenticeship:  Lv2 Childcare 

Duration of apprenticeship: 12-18 months 

Day release requirements: No 

Functional Skills: Undertaking additional level 2 maths, English & ICT classes may be required if candidate does not hold A-C

Additional Requirements: Must have been an EU resident for the past 3 years.  Must not already hold a degree or Level 4 qualification.

 

Employer Job Description:

Nursery Apprentice working with children 0-5 years. Work based training Level 2 progressing to Level 3.

  • To work as part of a team in a busy nursery.
  • To follow policies and procedures of the setting.
  • Assist in the care routines and development of children aged between 0-5 years.
  • Be able to take instruction from peers and also use their own initiative when familiar with daily practice in rooms.
  • Be punctual and reliable.
  • Be able to keep confidentiality.
  • Have smart appearance.
