Day release requirements: No 

Functional Skills: Undertaking additional level 2 maths, English & ICT classes may be required if candidate does not hold A-C

Additional Requirements: Must have been an EU resident for the past 3 years.  Must not already hold a degree or Level 4 qualification.

 

Employer Job Description:

The role will be to work within our team to provide children and families with a high standard of care within a stimulating and nurturing environment. You will contribute to a high standard care of the children and maintain a working knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage, as well as current issues surrounding Early Years.

 

General responsibilities:

  • To work alongside the nursery practitioners in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for the children.
  • To be flexible and be prepared to help wherever needed throughout the nursery.
  • To understand and adhere to all the nurseries policies.
  • To attend training courses arranged by the nursery.
  • To attend all staff meetings.
  • To liaise with a mentor or the manager.
  • To attend college on a regular basis.
  • To complete college assignments within an agreed timescale.
  • To work as part of the nursery team
  • To provide comfort and a feeling of security for all the children.
  • To encourage the children to adopt good hygiene procedures through modeling good practices
  • To ensure health and safety practices are upheld, including identifying risks and reporting them to the health and safety coordinator.
  • To respect the confidentiality of information about individual children
  • To immediately report any safeguarding concerns to the SOCCO and Management Team.
