Duration of apprenticeship: 18 months 

Day release requirements: Optional 

Functional Skills: Undertaking additional level 2 maths, English & ICT classes may be required if candidate does not hold A-C

Additional Requirements: Must have been an EU resident for the past 3 years.  Must not already hold a degree or Level 4 qualification.

 

Employer Job Description:

Butcher and Barlow Solicitors in Sandbach are looking for a hard-working, motivated candidate to join their team as a Business Administration Apprentice. It is important that the successful candidate has a good knowledge of, and experience in working with IT systems, typing and keyboarding skills and good communication skills, together with confidence in dealing with the general public, and a keen interest in learning new skills and being part of an Office Team.

 

 

The role will involve:

 

 

  • Managing Reception
  • Meeting and greeting clients
  • Dealing with personal enquiries at the Reception Desk and referring the matter to the appropriate Solicitor
  • Call handling
  • Making appointments and diary management
  • Dealing with the incoming and outgoing post
  • Working at a computer
  • Inputting data
  • Typing
  • Filing
  • Document storage and retrieval
  • Daily Banking and Record Keeping
  • Archiving Cases
  • Photocopying
  • Scanning
  • General office admin duties and tasks
