What is the programme structure?

The programme is structured to introduce welding safety and processes on week one. Week two onwards gives practical instruction to individual needs in GAS, ARC and MIG welding. Attendance for the H&S briefing at the first lesson is essential.

Any student wanting to learn to weld or improve existing skills.

How long does it take to complete?
2 hours for 8 weeks

What qualifications do I need?

No previous qualifications required.

What does it include?

The programme includes group and one to one tuition.

Are there any special facilities for the programme?
Welding is taught in the Welding Workshops at Mid Cheshire College, Hartford Campus. Overalls and boots or strong shoes should be worn (not trainers).

Will there be any extra costs involved?

There is an extra charge for materials payable with the course fee.

How is the programme assessed?
Tutor assessed during the course of the programme to ensure student progress. Additional tutor support given where needed. No formal exam.
