Who is the programme for?
This programme is aimed towards anyone wanting to gain a level 3 certificate in Welding and Fabrication Practice.
To provide an opportunity for existing employees to obtain relevant and up to date technical knowledge to meet the requirements of the application of practical skills.
To provide an opportunity for acquiring practical skills in different processes and positions.
To provide an opportunity for progression onto further/higher levels of study.
How long does it take to complete?
1 year, part time.
What qualifications do I need?
Entry is dependant on Level 2 Certificate in Welding and Fabrication Practices or extensive experience in the Welding Fabrication area.
What does it include?
Are there any special facilities for the programme?
The special facilities will include: specialist Engineering workshops for students to study in.
Will there be any extra costs involved?
Students will need to provide overalls and protective footwear.
How is the programme assessed?
This programme is assessed through practical test and external examinations.
What award will I achieve?
Welding and Fabrication Practice Level 3
Awarding Body Consortium.
What can I do next?
Successful students can progress to the Diploma in Fabrication and Welding. Students can also progress into Engineering related employment.
