What is the programme structure?
Attendance is 1 evening a week for 3 hours. The course will be run on a Wednesday to be confirmed.
Who is the programme for?
This course is designed for adult students (19+) who have a keen interest in producing their own media projects.
How long does it take to complete?
The course is 12 weeks in duration. It runs from April to July 2017 and students attend for 3 hours per week.
What qualifications do I need?
This is a beginners course and does not require any formal qualifications, however, good command of the English language would be advantageous.
What does it include?
An adult beginners course to introduce students to the basics of
producing a creative media production project. Students will learn the
basics about pre-production, filming and post production and work in production
teams to produce a final outcome. They will undergo workshops in cameras, sound,
lighting and editing.
Are there any special facilities for the programme?
Mid Cheshire offer State of the Art facilities on campus to support learning. Sessions will be delivered in purpose built Media suites.
Will there be any extra costs involved?
It is recommended that students bring their own USB pen drive with them to save digital work.
How is the programme assessed?
Assessment will be through final outcomes and supporting documentation such as storyboards, treatments, scripts and reports.

Students can progress onto a L2 or L3 Media related course.
