You’ll be based in spacious art studios in the impressive Arts centre on the Hartford Campus, working with top materials and media. Get physical with textiles, ceramics, multimedia and digital design in purpose-built studios.

You’ll develop vital art and design skills, and acquire a broad knowledge of techniques, research methods, and art history. Later on, you’ll specialise on your chosen field, and deepen your ability with focused teaching from expert practitioners.

You’ll be encouraged to innovate and experiment with materials and approaches, communicating your ideas through sketchbooks and workshop sessions.

You’ll complete the course with a portfolio of sketchbooks, finished work and take part in the College’s end of year art exhibition.

You’ll not only gain confidence in your creative talents, but will acquire presentation and employment skills to help launch you into an arts career, further training or a university degree.

Want to get paid to earn a degree-level qualification? You can at Mid Cheshire College thanks to our new Higher Apprenticeship courses.

You’ll work towards a nationally recognised qualification demonstrating your understanding and expertise in your chosen industry. You’ll combine assessment work with vital real-life experience, putting your knowledge into action at work.

You’ll follow a bespoke learning plan, created collaboratively by your employer and Mid Cheshire College, and designed to give you the most relevant teaching and training for your chosen industry.

You’ll complete the apprenticeship with a National Vocational Qualification (QCF) equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree, as well as a portfolio of completed work, a Technical Certificate, and proven on-the-job experience.
