Work in collaboration with the armed forces and Cheshire Police, Fire and Rescue, and Ambulance services to gain hands-on experience and benefit from the most up-to-date teaching content and visits.

Whether you’re learning how to implement a Major Incident plan or undergoing teamwork and leadership training, you’ll be building a portfolio of skills to take into future Public Sector roles or further education.

On a Public Services course you’ll benefit from physical fitness and outdoor skills training, with team events throughout the course and a residential trip. You’ll further develop essential skills in numeracy, IT and literacy, and learn about current affairs and government policy.

Potential Public Services careers include:
Police Officer, Coastguard, officer within the Armed Forces, Fire and Rescue Service or Prison Service, Customs and Excise Officer.

Apprenticeships

Want to get paid to earn a degree-level qualification? You can at Mid Cheshire College thanks to our new Higher Apprenticeship courses.

You’ll work towards a nationally recognised qualification demonstrating your understanding and expertise in your chosen industry. You’ll combine assessment work with vital real-life experience, putting your knowledge into action at work.

You’ll follow a bespoke learning plan, created collaboratively by your employer and Mid Cheshire College, and designed to give you the most relevant teaching and training for your chosen industry.

You’ll complete the apprenticeship with a National Vocational Qualification (QCF) equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree, as well as a portfolio of completed work, a Technical Certificate, and proven on-the-job experience.
