What is the programme structure?
This is a practical course that will develop your skills in IT/Computing and allow you to study a wide range of specialisms. This course will allow you to develop your skills and knowledge in a variety of IT specialisms. A wide range of topics are covered on this course, the units delivered is dependent on student numbers and demand. Units include software development and computer programming, databases and spreadsheets, digital graphics and web design. More technical options include software and hardware configuration and support, networking and system security.

4 GCSEs at grade A* - C or equivalent, including maths or English C or above.
What does it include?
This course includes a Study Programme to provide learners with a coherent and enriching curriculum which will provide them with the academic, social and employability skills to progress to further or higher education or employment. The content of the study programme is designed to broaden the learner experience beyond the main qualification of study. The key theme of Study Programmes at Level 3 will be the development of personal, social and enterprise skills to enable progression to higher levels of study or employment. As well as your core qualification you will study GCSE or Functional Skills in English or Maths plus English and maths development as part of the core qualification. Learners will also undertake personal progress planning and pastoral education. Plus additional personal development activity which will include work experience and projects.

There will be continuous assessment of practical work and some written assignments.
