Students at Mid Cheshire College had a fantastic week showcasing to friends, family and visitors their end of year work. With visitors leaving comments such as “Another great show, the work goes from strength to strength” and “love your work, I’ve bought number 6!” the showcase event not only stimulated and inspired the adults attending it also inspired students visiting the College as part of their Schools Taster Day. Last week just under 700 school children from the surrounding area visited the College.
Rebecca Salisbury Moss, Head of Learning for the Creative Arts said “we hope they will be inspired by the range of amazing work and the opportunities open to students undertaking a Creative Arts course with us. I am immensely proud of what has been achieved this year, from installations that provoke thought through to shoes made from sweets, our students stretch themselves and indeed us, getting better every year. It was particularly pleasing to have the external standards verifier tell us at the end of her visit that she had NO recommendations and that in fact she had taken pictures to share with other Colleges as ideas for best practice in the display of artwork. A massive well done to all involved.”
