Qualification studied during apprenticeship:  Lv2 Joinery 

Duration of apprenticeship: 12-18 months 

Day release requirements: Yes 

Functional Skills: Undertaking additional level 2 maths, English & ICT classes may be required if candidate does not hold A-C

Additional Requirements: Must have been an EU resident for the past 3 years.  Must not already hold a degree or Level 4 qualification.

 

Employer Job Description:

Don Houghton are looking to expand their team with a joinery apprentice who will be based in their workshop and will learn all aspects of joinery.

The role involves:

  • Cutting and shaping timber
  • Using tools to make and assemble kitchen and bedroom furniture
  • Once you have mastered the basics of joinery, you will assist with the fitting of furniture in customers’ homes
  • Full training and support will be given
