Funding your childcare

Students under 20 years of age
If you are under 20 at the beginning of your course, your childcare can be funded through Care to Learn.  This is a government initiative to help young parents who are caring for their own child(ren) and use an Ofsted registered childcare provider.

Students age 20+
The following options are available:

Nursery Education grant which provides funding towards childcare places for children who are 3 or 4 years old.  The funding starts in the term after they are 3 years old.

Learner Support Childcare Fund
Students facing financial hardship who are not eligible for other sources of funding, and who use an Ofsted registered provider can apply to the College for a grant from the Learner Support Childcare Fund.  Contact the Learner Experience Centre to find out how to apply.
