First year Media students at the Hartford Campus of Mid Cheshire College have been working on a special commission with Cheshire businesswoman Eilidh Milnes.
What began as a competition set by Eilidh to help students practice their interviewing and filming techniques quickly led to a professional working relationship that yielded four video clips. “Working with the students was an inspiration in itself,” said Eilidh “I was so impressed by their creativity and eagerness to do well, each student expressed their own personality through their work, I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them”.
Getting Eilidh to pick a winner has however not been so easy, she has elected instead to leave it to the public views on the YouTube channel to determine who got it right in the final cut! So far the viewing total stands at over 200 views.
Principal Richard Hollywood said “Projects like this underline why our investment in the Centre for the Creative Arts has been money well spent. Our students are able to use cutting edge equipment in a dedicated editing suite, I am exceptionally proud to have a team with the technical ability and industry experience to help the students. Eilidh’s comments are not a surprise, our students are exceptional.”
