A student has received high praise from a local company during his work experience placement.
Liam Leach, who is studying Level 1 vocational studies at Mid Cheshire College, has just finished a five-week placement with the Northwich BID team.
The opportunity came about after Liam met Northwich BID manager Jane Hough at a Northwich Independent Retailers Association meeting, and she offered him the chance to gain hands-on experience behind the scenes. While on placement, Liam attended key communication meetings regarding Barons Quay and got the inside track on events, even helping to plan the 2016 marketing strategy for Visit Northwich.
He also had the opportunity to visit Gadbrook Park and Winsford Industrial Estate which presented him with an insight into how different BIDs work across the county.
“Work experience with the Northwich BID was fantastic, and it has been amazing to learn how the many projects link together,” said Liam, who runs a Northwich Town Fans Facebook and Twitter account.
“It’s been a pleasure having Liam with the BID Team over the last five weeks,” said Jane Hough.
“He’s brought a real energy, and his passion for Northwich knows no bounds.
“He helped us on a couple of key projects too, and it will be great to see his updates on schemes such as the Barons Quay development over the coming months.”
