Resolution to dissolve the Further Education Corporation of Mid Cheshire College.


Mid Cheshire College and Warrington Collegiate (together “the Colleges”) undertook a public consultation exercise in March and April 2017 in respect of the proposed Type B merger of the Colleges. Within the consultation document notice was given by the Corporation of Mid Cheshire College of the proposal for the transfer of the property, rights and liabilities to the Corporation of Warrington Collegiate and the subsequent dissolution of the Further Education Corporation of Mid Cheshire College, Chester Road, Hartford, Northwich, Cheshire CW8 1LJ. The date proposed for the dissolution was confirmed as 31 July 2017.

Statutory notices were subsequently published in both local newspapers and The Guardian newspaper on 28 March 2017.

At a meeting of the board of governors of the Further Education Corporation of Mid Cheshire College, to be held on a date at least one month after the date of publication on the College website, the following resolution will be proposed:-

– It is resolved that the Corporation of Mid Cheshire College shall dissolve itself on or after 31 July 2017, subject to completion of an agreement with Warrington Collegiate under which the Corporation of Mid Cheshire College shall transfer its property, rights and liabilities to Warrington Collegiate, and Warrington Collegiate shall accept receipt of the same.
